Generative Engine Optimization Services, Done for You

Your customers are asking AI what to buy and who to choose. Help them find accurate information about your business—without taking on another marketing job yourself.
1Alexander is a done-for-you AI search agency for US local businesses, B2B companies and consumer brands, including software businesses. We research buyer questions, improve pages and business information, handle agreed implementation and explain what the evidence shows.
$3,500/month. A 90-day initial engagement, then monthly with 30 days’ notice. No guaranteed rankings, recommendations or leads.

Different names. One joined-up service.
- Generative engine optimization (GEO): improving the public information AI systems may use when summarizing, comparing or citing businesses.
- Answer engine optimization (AEO): making your business information clear and useful when a search system answers a buyer’s question.
- AI search optimization: combining that work with practical SEO, business-information cleanup and checks of how AI answers describe you.
At 1Alexander, these are names for the same joined-up job—not three separate retainers. Whether you are looking for an answer engine optimization agency, a GEO agency, AI SEO help or LLM SEO, the important question is what gets researched, changed and checked.
We do not control what an assistant says. We work on information and implementation you can actually improve.

For businesses with a real offer and someone to approve the facts
The service fits businesses that want help doing the work, not just access to a dashboard.
For local businesses, that might mean a dentist explaining treatments and insurance accurately; a law firm clarifying practice areas; or a med spa, medical practice, accountant, contractor or tree service keeping services and availability current. Our dental AI-search guide shows the care needed with professional credentials and patient information.
For B2B companies, it can mean explaining capabilities, buying requirements and the differences between solutions. Professional services, manufacturers, suppliers and software companies can all have questions worth answering. Software is one category we serve, not the definition of our agency.
For B2C and ecommerce businesses, the starting point can be clear product, service and policy information. Large catalog, feed or platform projects need their own scope; they are not automatically included in a standard retainer.
These are examples of fit, not a client list or claims of results in those industries. We need access to the relevant website and accounts, accurate business facts and a person who can approve changes. Regulated content needs an appropriate professional reviewer.

What the $3,500 monthly retainer covers
The starting scope is one brand, one website and one focused US offer or buying-intent cluster. For a local business, it covers one genuine location/Google Business Profile and an agreed metro or service area. It is not an unlimited multi-location or every-product package.
Researched content, not a pile of generic posts
After the foundation month, the normal monthly mix is two new researched pages or articles and two meaningful refreshes of existing pages. New work can include service pages, buyer comparisons or practical guides—not only articles.
Human editing, your factual approval, internal links, site implementation where access allows and one revision round are included. A refresh is an improvement to an existing page, not another new article. Complex clinical, legal, technical-specification or long-form projects are agreed separately.
Implementation with a clear allowance
Up to six hours each month covers prioritized technical, on-page and business-information work: for example, checking crawl access, diagnosing indexing issues, improving internal links or correcting factual information.
Local clients receive a monthly Google Business Profile accuracy review and up to five straightforward listing or fact corrections as capacity allows. Those corrections are inside the six-hour allowance, not extra hours on top. Access and third-party approvals can limit what can be changed.
Measurement, source work and plain-English reporting
The monthly program includes 25 agreed buyer prompts across four AI surfaces, weekly spot checks of five priority prompts, and the evidence described below.
We also conduct one source-opportunity review and can make up to five relevant outreach or correction attempts monthly, with your authorization. An attempt is not a guaranteed link, publication or placement. Paid listing or placement fees require approval.
You receive a monthly plain-English report, a 45-minute review call and routine asynchronous support. You own paid-for content and your accounts.
Before work starts, we put the agreed measurement-tool allowance and any separately approved software or outside fees in writing. The base retainer is not permission to add unapproved costs. Our AI search optimization cost guide explains what to look for in an agency scope.

How the work develops month by month
Month one: establish the facts and make the first changes
We interview you, collect approved factual sources, review website access and indexing, check the competitive starting point and review conversion tracking. Together, we agree a prioritized 90-day roadmap.
We implement the top feasible fixes and deliver two prioritized content assets. Foundation work replaces part of the later production allowance; month one does not stack full onboarding on top of four ongoing content units.
Month two: build and improve what buyers need
The normal two-new-page/two-refresh cadence starts. We work through the agreed priorities, implement within the allowance and check whether information is accurate and usable. For local businesses, that includes the bounded profile and listing work.
You review facts and approve content. We log completed changes so the report shows work done, not just another visibility score.
Month three: review the evidence and choose the next priorities
We continue the agreed monthly work, compare dated observations with the baseline and review inquiries where reliable tracking is available. We explain what changed, what did not and what we cannot attribute confidently.
The roadmap can change as we learn. The 90-day initial term is a commercial commitment, not a deadline for AI inclusion or new customers. After that term, the engagement continues monthly with 30 days’ notice.

Measure useful progress—not just mentions
A prompt is a test question a buyer might ask. We agree 25 questions and check that panel monthly across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI search. Five priority prompts receive weekly spot checks.
We record the question, system, date, supplied US location, answer and cited sources. Google AI Overviews and AI Mode observations are distinguished, including when an Overview does not appear. Classic Google results and Maps are checked separately rather than blended into one “AI ranking.”
An appearance is not automatically a recommendation. A citation is not automatically a lead. Sampled answers can vary with wording, location, context and time; this is not a survey of every real customer conversation.
Where suitable tracking and access exist, we review qualified inquiries, calls and bookings alongside the visibility evidence. For a B2B business, that may include genuine sales inquiries; for a local business, new-customer appointment or estimate requests. We explain attribution limits instead of claiming every inquiry came from AI.
We do not need patient records or other sensitive customer details in public AI prompts. Tracking and account access must respect your privacy requirements.
The report connects the questions checked, information found, work completed and next priorities. It does not turn a screenshot into proof of lasting visibility.

What we do not sell
- Guaranteed rankings, AI recommendations, a fixed lead count or a promised date for results.
- A self-serve software subscription that leaves you to implement everything.
- Unlimited locations, product catalogs, revisions or development hours inside one retainer.
- Full website rebuilds, bulk catalogs/feeds, major engineering, profile-suspension recovery or crisis PR in the base scope.
- Advertising management or ad spend, paid placements, or premium clinical/legal review without a separate agreement.
- Fake reviews, invented expertise, fabricated case studies or claims that we can “train ChatGPT” to recommend you.
The agency-versus-DIY guide explains when a tool and an in-house team may be the better fit. If your needs exceed this scope, we should narrow the engagement or agree additional work—not pretend the standard package is unlimited.

Frequently asked questions
How much do your generative engine optimization services cost?
The approved retainer is $3,500 per month for the defined scope. It starts with a 90-day engagement, then continues monthly with 30 days’ notice. Additional locations, major projects and outside fees require agreement; they are not silently included or added.
Is this different from SEO?
They overlap. Clear, accessible pages and accurate business information still matter. AI answers add another place where buyers may discover, compare and misunderstand your business. Our service connects relevant SEO implementation with AI-answer research and measurement; it does not replace every marketing channel.
Do you make the changes, or just give us recommendations?
We handle the agreed content and implementation where access allows. Technical and business-information work has a six-hour monthly allowance; content follows the stated production mix. You provide accurate facts, approvals and any required professional review. Large development projects are separate.
Can you guarantee that ChatGPT will recommend us?
No. We cannot guarantee what ChatGPT, Google or another platform will say, when it will change, or whether an inquiry will follow. We commit to the agreed work and honest reporting. The initial 90 days are not a results guarantee.
Is this only for software companies or local businesses?
Neither. We serve US local businesses and general B2B/B2C companies, including software. The standard engagement focuses on one brand, website and offer cluster. Local work covers one genuine location and an agreed service area; broader programs need a separate scope.
What will you need from us?
An owner or internal contact, accurate service and business information, suitable account access and timely approvals. For clinical, legal or other regulated subjects, you provide qualified review. We agree responsibilities and privacy requirements before collecting or sharing information.
Could we use an AI visibility tool instead?
Yes, if your team can interpret the findings, approve accurate content and implement improvements. Some tools help with content and optimization as well as monitoring. The reason to choose 1Alexander is having an accountable team do the agreed work—not a claim that software cannot help.
